Transit Station Parking Structure
Lodi’s Transit Division is seeking ways to better secure the Transit Station Parking Structure, due to frequent and substantial vandalism, as well as significant staff time spent on tracking and monitoring incidents.
The rarely-occupied third floor of the Parking Structure has attracted reckless driving, recently resulting in significant and costly structural damage to the facility.
At this time, barricades will be placed at the entrance of the Parking Structure third floor to restrict vehicle and pedestrian access. Security guards will continue to monitor the third floor, and any individuals in the area will be asked to leave immediately.
Barricades will also be placed at the Elm Street entrance of the Parking Structure, leaving the Pine Street entrance for vehicle entry and exit. Pedestrian access will remain available at the Elm Street Entrance.
These measures are temporary while we evaluate longer-term improvements to prevent this dangerous behavior.
We appreciate the cooperation of the community at this time in our efforts to increase safety and security at the Transit Station Parking Structure.
