Thank you to all our administrative professionals! We greatly appreciate everything you do for our city each and every day.

Mayor Chandler recognized our Administrative Professionals from all departments at the last Council meeting and proclaimed this week "Administrative Professionals Week."
Emerson

New Climbing Structure at Emerson Tot Lot 


A new climbing structure was installed in the Tot Lot at Emerson Park this past week! The Parks Division staff; Parks Supervisor, Zach Herd, Sr. Building Maintenance Worker, Colin Likiliki, Park Maintenance Worker II, Sean Machado, and Project Coordinator, Steve Virrey (not pictured) assisted the Lodi Lions Club on Thursday, April 28th in placing six climbing rock elements. The large climbing rock weighed in at 3,700LBS, two medium rocks were 600LBS each, and three small rocks weighed 370LBS each. The Lions Club donation came in at $10,500.

Christina Jaromay

Christina Jaromy appointed to the California State Park and Recreation Commission


Christina Jaromay, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director has been appointed by Governor Newsom to the California State Park and Recreation Commission. She looks forward to serving alongside fellow commissioners and the department to further its mission to protect natural and cultural resources, create opportunities for recreation and provide access to all Californians. Congratulations Christina! 

Bev Jensen Named President of Public Risk Captive


Risk Manager, Bev Jensen, has been named President of Public Risk Captive of Captive of California.

The City’s excess workers’ compensation joint powers authority (JPA) recently formed a captive insurance company to allow the JPA to diversify its investment strategy. The goal is to increase investment earnings for the JPA which will, in turn, decrease the premiums charged to its members. Congrats Bev! 

Badge Pinning

Badge Pinning


The Lodi Fire Department held a badge pinning ceremony on Monday in Carnegie Forum.  Congratulations to our newest Fire Engineers: Tim Aguirre, Matt Berger, and Jordan Pinasco on this achievement.  

Community Engagement 


Lodi Police and Fire Department were invited out to Lakewood Elementary School for their jog-a-thon event on Wednesday.  Students had the opportunity to explore the different vehicles and talk with our police officers and firefighters.
