Lodi Electric - Energy Cost Adjustment
Currently, we have had a mild spring without extreme temperatures. Thus, the average energy usage leads to a charge for April ECA at $0.0186/kWh, which is lower than March ECA. This is also better than what we had anticipated for an unfavorable energy market condition. The energy market prices continue to rise due to gas price spikes, supply chain instability as well as dry water year conditions. Unfortunately, Lodi Energy Center (LEC) is undergoing the planned major maintenance without its revenue to offset our supply cost for 3 months. On the other hand, the lower energy use in spring could help to lower the overall power supply costs.
