Raising Cane's Grand Opening

Raising Cane's restaurant opened in Lodi on West Kettleman on February 15. Roger Armstrong, Senior Construction Manager, expressed his appreciation for the coordination and collaboration from various City departments that were involved in making this Raising Cane's location possible. Specifically, he wanted to recognize Dennis Canright and John Della Monica for their leadership in helping guide them through the City of Lodi processes and procedures, and Araseli Del Castillo for her attention to detail during inspection.

Record 4th Quarter Sales Tax Receipts for 2021

The 4th quarter sales tax receipts for 2021 (October, November, December) ended on a high note for Lodi as the community recovers from the COVID pandemic. The City had record breaking receipts of $6,937,416 compared to $5,600,912 for the same time period in 2020. That’s a 24% increase year over year. Economic areas seeing the greatest growth are General Consumer Goods, Fuels & Service Stations and Restaurants/Hotels. The City is on track to exceed the original Fiscal Year 2021/22 budget by $3.5 million. Way to go - Shop Lodi!

The Great Leprechaun Hunt at Lodi Lake

Parks and Rec invites the community out to Lodi Lake for the 2nd Annual Great Leprechaun Hunt from March 7-17 (stay tuned to the Facebook page for updates due to the riverbank restoration project going on at the lake).

12 mischievous little leprechauns are hiding at Lodi Lake.
Can you find them all?

Hunters of all ages:

- Solve the leprechaun’s riddles (Coming March 7 at Lodi.gov/PRCS - Stay tuned!)

- Print out the hunt list and bring it with you to Lodi Lake

- Walk around Lodi Lake and mark off each leprechaun as you find them

Take a selfie with the leprechaun and post with #LodiLeprechaunHunt

Hunters ages 12 and under:
Turn in your completed hunt list to the Discovery Center, Sat., March 12 from 10am-2pm, or Wed. March 17 from 1-5pm to receive your pot-o-gold (while supplies last)!

North Lodi Lake Closed Feb. 26 - Mar. 6

For the safety of the public, the north side of Lodi Lake will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from February 26 - March 6, due to the riverbank restoration project. There will be dozens of trucks carrying heavy material coming and going from the area during this time. Project updates will be posted to the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
