The City is currently accepting applications for the Library Board of Trustees, Lodi Arts Commission, and Planning Commission.
Committee Information
Library Board of Trustees
Two expiring terms – appointments to expire June 30, 2022 (3-year term)
Purpose: To manage the public library; set policy and budget guidelines; review and act on proposals; and advocate programs, funding, and support of government officials to recognize and meet the needs of the community.
Meetings: Meets 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of each month, Lodi Public Library
Membership: Five members
Lodi Arts Commission
One expiring term – appointments to expire July 1, 2022 (3-year term)
Purpose: To inspire, encourage, and promote the arts in the community.
Meetings: 12 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, Carnegie Forum
Membership: Seven members and 2 ex-officio members
Planning Commission
Two expiring terms – appointment to expire June 30, 2023 (4-year term)
Purpose: To review changes to the City’s General Plan & zoning regulations to ensure development in Lodi is of the highest quality and provide recommendations to Council on such matters dealing with community development.
Meetings: 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month, Carnegie Forum
Membership: Seven members
Application Process
Appointments will be made by the Mayor with Council approval. Applicants must be registered to vote in
San Joaquin County at the time of application. (Exception: Applicants for Planning Commission and Lodi Arts Commission must be registered to vote in the CITY OF LODI.) If appointed, you may be required to complete a Statement of Economic Interest. These are volunteer, unpaid positions.
