Global energy demand continues to remain high, and higher demand is keeping market energy prices trending higher than historical averages. Even though the Lodi Energy Center continues to perform well, plant revenues offset only a portion of Lodi’s higher energy supply costs. As expected, winter energy consumption is lower and combined with higher energy costs, leads to a higher ECA. The December ECA is 5.56 cents/kWh.
During this holiday season, we encourage customers to use LED vs. older, less efficient lighting and consider using smart plugs and placing holiday lights on a timer.
