The increasing global energy demand and high energy market prices continue to present financial challenges for energy service providers like Lodi Electric Utility (LEU). Natural gas prices and energy prices have come down slowly in the past few weeks. However, Lodi Energy Center continues to perform well and resulting in significant plant revenue to offset some of Lodi’s high energy supply costs. As a result, the November Energy Cost Adjustment is 3.36 cents/kWh – a significant reduction from the summer months’ high ECAs (more than 5 cents).
As LEU recognizes ECAs have been trending higher than average the past few months when compared to prior years, customers are encouraged to take advantage of a number of payment assistance programs to reduce the financial impact associated with increasing monthly utility bills. For eligibility and information on these programs, please visit www.lodielectric.com. If you are having trouble paying your electric bill, there are options available to you.
