The City of Lodi is utilizing “Balancing Act”, an online simulation program designed to engage the public in the budget process. The simulation exercise is focused on General Fund revenue and services – participants will be given a surplus of revenue to allocate across various city operations such as Police, Fire, Parks, Library, Streets and Community Development.
The simulation exercise puts you in the driver’s seat to balance the budget:
- Increase or decrease budgets based on your service and project priorities
- Provide comments and feedback throughout the process
- Share with City Council which district represents you
