Lodi, Calif. – June 03, 2021 – The Lodi Fire Department will be hosting multi-agency training at Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne River wilderness area June 8 through June 11. The Department will be conducting boat operations and water rescue drills with several agencies from within San Joaquin County. Fire departments, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Air Operations Unit (helicopter), and the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO) Boating Safety Unit will be participating in the four-day training.
Training date are:
June 8 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
June 9 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
June 10 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
June 11 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
All agencies will be using Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne River up to Hwy 99. Agencies will be accessing the Masons Beach, Awani Drive, and Lodi Lake Wilderness and Nature Area to stage equipment and live rescue victims at these locations during training.
On Wednesday, June 9, Lodi Lake and the Wilderness and Nature Area will close at 5:30 p.m.
