[ARCHIVED] Lodi Begins Limited Reopening of Park Facilities, Recreation Activities

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services will begin limited reopening of facilities that were closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, following guidance recently received from State and local health officials.

  • Headwaters Boathouse at Lodi Lake: Opens Friday, June 19
    Visit the Headwaters website (https://headwaterskayak.com) for details. Rentals will be limited and patrons will be asked to observe physical distancing from members of other households while on the water. For additional information, email boathouse@headwaterskayak.com.
  • Kofu Skate Park: Opens Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m.
    Summer hours for the skate park will be 10 a.m. to sunset daily. This area will be monitored to ensure there are no group gatherings and that physical distancing and other guidelines are followed. New facility use guidelines will be posted.

  • Lodi Lake Beach: Opens Wednesday, July 1
    Hours will be Wednesday-Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Maximum capacity will be limited to allow for proper physical distancing while enjoying the beach and children’s wading pool area. NOTE: facility use guidelines, including possible pre-registration, will be published prior to reopening.

  • Hutchins Street Square Pool: Opens Wednesday, July 1
    Adult water fitness classes, lap swim and open swim will resume with restrictions and physical distancing guidelines. Sensory swim and adult fitness that was scheduled for Blakely Park’s Enze Pool will be rescheduled to take place at Hutchins Street Square Pool. NOTE: facility programming schedule, including possible pre-registration, and use guidelines will be published prior to reopening. Schedule will be posted by Friday, June 26 at https://www.lodi.gov/364/Aquatics.

Playgrounds, picnic shelters, Blakely Park’s Enze Pool, Hutchins Street Square rentals and theater remain closed. Youth sports remain suspended pending further guidance from State and San Joaquin County health officials. Please monitor the PRCS Parks/Facilities matrix (https://www.lodi.gov/855/FieldParkFacility-Conditions) on the PRCS website that is updated daily as amenities are approved for reopening.
