Pursuant to Section 54954(a) of the Government Code of the State of California, agendas are posted at least 72 hours in advance of a regularly scheduled meeting (or 24 hours in advance of a special meeting) at the Carnegie Forum (southeast entrance, ground level), 305 West Pine Street, which is a public place freely accessible to the public 24 hours a day. Agendas are also posted in the City Clerk’s Office (2nd Floor) and City Hall Lobby, 221 W. Pine Street; at Worknet, 631 E. Oak Street; and on-line.

Members

The six Adult Advisors and nine Student Members and of the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission are appointed by the Lodi City Council. Adult Advisors serve three-year terms, and Student Members serve two-year terms. Adult Advisors on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission must be registered to vote in San Joaquin County at the time of application. There is no registration requirement for Student Members.

Committee Information

The purpose of the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission for Adult Advisors is to affect positive growth in young adults through a variety of activities that will generate interest and participation within the community. This includes providing guidance and mentorship of commission members and assisting them with programs intended to enhance the lives of our community’s younger residents. For Student Members, the purpose is to affect positive growth in young adults through a variety of activities that will generate interest and participation within the community. This includes working with other youth, under the guidance of volunteer adult advisors, to develop engaging programs that provide entertainment, recreation, personal development and promote volunteerism. Membership is open to youth in grades 9 through 12.
