Lodi Public Library has a robust volunteer program that helps the library leverage limited resources.

Library volunteers play an important role in the community by donating their time to a few of the following:

  • Adult Literacy tutoring and Family Literacy - help an adult improve their reading and writing
  • Book mender - repair damaged books
  • Book processor - prepare newly purchased materials for checkout
  • Book shelver - shelve library books
  • eBooks technology tutoring - teach how to use various eBooks to check out
  • Friends of the Library - sell used books to support library programs
  • Homework Help tutoring - help children/teens with their homework assignments
  • Library Foundation - fundraising to support the library
  • Lucas Computer Learning Center - assist patrons with common computer tasks
  • Program presenter - present a program to the community
