The Port of Stockton is located on the Stockton Deepwater Ship Channel, 75 nautical miles (120 kilometers) due east of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Port owns and operates a diversified and major transportation center that encompasses a 2,000-acre (809 hectares) operating area.
The Port has berthing space for 17 vessels, 1.1 million square feet (102,000 square meters) of dockside transit sheds and shipside rail trackage, 7.7 million square feet (715,000 square meters) of warehousing for both dry bulk and general cargoes, including steel. Each warehouse is also served by rail.
