Volunteers
The Lodi Police Department is honored to have three valuable volunteer programs in which citizens are able to give back to the community. In a 2012 article written by Maggie Creamer for the Lodi News-Sentinel, it was highlighted that City of Lodi volunteers put in 97,894 hours, saving the city at least $1.43 million.
The Lodi Police Department acknowledges its volunteers and their contributions to reaching this goal. If you are interested in volunteering with the Lodi Police Department, please look at these three terrific opportunities to get involved.

Cadets
The Police Cadet Program provides youths, ages 16 to 24, with the opportunity to explore the field of law enforcement. The program encourages and mentors youth toward a career as a police officer, communications dispatcher, or other careers within the police department.

Chaplains
Chaplains serve many personal and spiritual needs of individuals where they are, when they need the support of another person who comes to them without judgment, with openness, and cares for them until the crisis is over.

Partners
The Lodi Police Department Partners Program encompasses men and women who help fight crime in their community by donating time to the Lodi Police Department by becoming specially-trained personnel working with law enforcement to help enhance the services provided.
