Welcome to the Lodi Public Library's 2023 Bookmark Contest?

Help us design a new set of bookmarks for the Lodi Public Library celebrating what you enjoy about the Lodi Public Library and books, reading, or libraries in general. All valid submitted designs will be put up for a vote by the public. The winners will receive $20 cash and have their design printed and distributed soon after. The bookmark contest will be judged according to three different age brackets:

  • Child - Ages 5-12
  • Teen - Ages 13-17
  • Adult - Ages 18+

Winners will be announced once all voting is done, votes have been counted, and the winner of each category is known.

Contest Rules:

  • Entries to be submitted to any Lodi Public Library staff member at 201 W. Locust St.
  • Digital entries may be emailed to literacy@lodi.gov and must be in JPEG format.
  • One winner per age category.
  • All artwork must be original and can include high resolution (300 dpi or greater) computer-generated or digital photography, as well as pen, colored pencil, marker, paint, crayon, etc. Designs can be either portrait or landscape layout but must fit within the template margins.
  • Designs cannot contain copyrighted images unless accompanied by a letter of release from the copyright holder.
  • Once submitted, all artwork will become the property of the Lodi Public Library and may be incorporated into future bookmark designs or other marketing materials (including website or social media) without compensation, limitation or future reservation of rights.
  • The Lodi Public Library reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submitted designs.
  • Artwork is subject to change due to the manufacturing process.
  • California residents only.
  • Limit one entry per person.
  • Employees of the Lodi Public Library are not eligible.
  • Bookmarks will be judged based on creativity, design and the message of what the Lodi Public Library means to you.
