The Lodi Police Department is organized into two divisions that are overseen by two captains and the Office of the Chief.
OPERATIONS DIVISION
The Operations Division is responsible for providing the majority of the Lodi Police Department frontline services. This includes the Patrol Division and our PARTNERS Unit.
SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION
The Support Services Division includes the Technical Services Division and Investigations Division. The Lodi Police Department Communications Unit, Property, Investigations, Office of Professional Standards, Records, and Animal Services dwell in these divisions. Our Communications Unit provides our first point of contact with the community while our Records Unit provides in-person customer service in our lobby.
SPECIALIZED UNITS
Within our department, there are many opportunities to join a specialized unit such as Field Evidence Technicians, Bike Patrol, Special Weapons and Tactical Team, Mobile Field Force Unit, Critical Incident Negotiation Team, and more.
