Engineering
Planning, design and oversight in the construction of City streets, water, wastewater and drainage. Other functions include construction drawing and records management, mapping and Geographic Information System maintenance and development, surveying and cost estimating.pwdept@lodi.gov
Also included under this division is Traffic Engineering. This function of Engineering is responsible for the design of the City's traffic control systems, preparing traffic studies/reports on pedestrian crossings, school crossings, parking and restricted parking zones, speed zones and installation of stop and yield signs and traffic signals. pfernandez@lodi.gov
Facilities/Fleet
Facilities is responsible for maintaining and managing all City facilities except for Parks and Recreation and Hutchins Street Square facilities. Functions of this division include administering minor construction projects, supervising contract labor and vendors for janitorial and other building maintenance services. cswimley@lodi.gov
Fleet services is responsible for maintaining the City's vehicles and equipment. Functions include repairs to vehicles and equipment, managing parts inventory, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical operation problems, welding/fabricating, preventative maintenance and preparing vehicle purchase specifications.
Streets
Street and pavement maintenance
activities that include street cleaning and sweeping, traffic control devices, street trees, sidewalk and landscape maintenance, storm water and graffiti abatement. lroberts@lodi.gov.
Transit
Provides daily fixed route bus system and a door-to-door service for the general public within the City limits. pfernandez@lodi.gov
Water/Wastewater
The Water Services Division provides potable water to residential, commercial and industrial customers; and, provides water for adequate pressures to fire hydrants, private fire suppression systems and private on-site hydrants. Manages all wastewater including domestic industrial and runoff flows from the City's three separate collection systems. Performs pipeline and facility maintenance. lparlin@lodi.gov.
Wastewater Treatment
Operation and maintenance of the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility which operates seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day and manned 16 hours per day. Analyze untreated and treated wastewater; determining chemical, physical and bacteriological characteristics and analyze City drinking water. lparlin@lodi.gov
