New library cards/National Library Week
April 11, 2002
In celebration of National Library Week April 14-20th , the Lodi Public Library is issuing newly designed library cards to all current card holders and new library customers. Featuring a stylized rendition of the library’s logo the new cards are attractive and "won’t get lost in your wallet." Unlike the library’s old paper card, these new plastic cards are dishwasher safe.
To promote the new cards, library staff will be decked out in especially designed T-shirts featuring the new card. The back of the shirts sports the verso of the library card encouraging would be users to "get carded @your library." To register for a card, new customers need to present picture identification and evidence of their current address.
Library Director Nancy Martinez invites the public to discover the world of information resources @your library during National Library Week.
The Lodi Public Library located at 201 West Locust Street in downtown Lodi is open seven days a week—Mon-Thurs 10 am- 9 pm, Fri-Sat 10 am -6 pm and Sundays 1-5 pm.
