National Library Week @ the Lodi Public Library

Your local library is sometimes the community’s best kept secret. During National Library Week the Lodi Public Library hopes to change that view. Special programs for all members of the family have been scheduled for the celebration.

On Sunday, April 2nd a special showing of the feature film Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Weir Rabbit will entertain teens and their families.  The fun starts at 2:30 PM

On Thursday, April 6th  at 3:30 PM Jean Valjean of the Short Attention Span Theater will entertain for a special after school program for children.

On Saturday, April 8th Quang Pham author of A Sense of Duty: My Father My American Journey will talk about his life as a child during the Vietnamese War and later as a refugee in American—a powerful story of a family’s struggles and triumph. This work has been hailed as an invaluable addition to the literature--one of the first voices from the Vietnamese point of view.   Copies of the book will be available for purchase and autographing.

All programs will be held in the library’s Bud Sullivan Community Room at 201 West Locust Street.  For more information, contact the reference staff
