Drive-By Shooting

Details:  At approximately 0845 hours today, the Lodi Police Department responded to the area of Central Ave. and Railroad Ave. for a report of a man shot.   Ricardo Hernandez, an 18 year-old Lodi resident, was found in the street with a single gunshot wound to his back, the result of a drive by shooting.  The victim was transported by paramedics to an area hospital, and at this time his condition does not appear be life-threatening.  The shooting is believed to be gang related.  Witnesses described the shooter as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, with short hair.  He was believed to be driving a late model gold Chrysler with a partial license plate of “5CJ”.  Detectives are actively working this case.
