Jeannie Matsumoto Named City of Lodi Employee of the Year

At the City of Lodi’s March 2, 2002, employee dinner/dance, Jeannie Matsumoto, Senior Engineering Technician for the City of Lodi, was surprised with the City’s 2001 Employee of the Year Award. Jeannie received a beautiful plaque and $100 cash. Jeannie is generous, helpful, caring, and truly deserving of the honor of receiving recognition. Public Works Director Richard Prima said he felt sort of "like a proud papa". "Jeannie is one of those quiet, steady, talented employees who form the core strength of our organization. Her customer-friendly skills are outstanding. It is very gratifying to see her, and those like her, get recognized."

Jeannie began working for the City of Lodi in 1971 and is considered the epitome of hard work and dedication by her fellow employees. After being nominated by several employees, Jeannie was selected Employee of the Quarter in October 2001 making her eligible for the Employee of the Year honor.

In addition to providing consistent outstanding service to the public, and delicious homemade cookies to the City Hall staff, Jeannie is also very active in community, church and family activities.
