Three Armed Robberies
Details: Three armed robberies occurred at local businesses between 9:00 PM on 8/30/04 and 5:00 AM on 8/31/04. It is believed that the same suspect committed all three crimes.
At 9:00 PM on 8/30/04 a suspect entered Tokay Market at 2525 S. Hutchins St. through an open back door. The owner of the business walked toward the back of the store, when the suspect yelled at the owner to not move. The owner turned, ran out the front door, and the suspect fired multiple shots from a gun and fled out the rear door. Nothing was taken from the store.
Approximately one hour later the suspect drove up to the drive-through window at Weinerschnitzel, 220 S. Cherokee lane, and displayed a handgun to the clerk at the drive-through window. He handed a pillow case to the clerk telling the clerk to put the money in the pillow case. The suspect fled in a vehicle described as being similar to a Honda Accord sliver, or light blue in color.
At 4:30 AM the suspect approached the clerk at USA Gas located on the corner of Lower Sacramento Road and Lodi Ave. The suspect pointed a gun at the clerk, handed the clerk a pillow case and told the clerk to put the money in the pillow case. The suspect fled in a vehicle similar to the description given during the Weinerschnitzel robbery, a newer silver colored Toyota.
The suspect in the robberies in his 20’s, Caucasian, 5’6” to 5’8” and weighs 150 to 170 pounds. He has short brown hear, thin build, with a chiseled face. He was last seen wearing a red or maroon baseball cap, white tee shirt and jeans.
Flyers providing the description of the suspect and vehicle are being distributed to local businesses by police personnel. Anyone with information regarding the robberies please contact the Lodi Police Department Investigations Unit at (209)333-6732.
