Jeff Hood, assistant to Lodi City Manager Konradt Bartlam, will become interim director of the city’s Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department next month, Bartlam announced today.
Hood will assume the department’s duties on Feb. 8 for James Rodems, who is resigning to become the top administrator of a park district in the Sacramento region. Bartlam has yet to decide how he will fill Rodems’ position on a permanent basis.

His duties for the City have included internal and external communications, customer service issues and special projects. He will continue providing many of those services while interim director.
The Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department has nearly 40 employees and an annual budget of nearly $6 million.
