Lodi GrapeLine and MV Transportation, Inc., will be participating in their first Annual “Stuff the Bus” food drive from Friday, November 12, through Sunday, November 14, 2010.
GrapeLine and MV Transportation are partnering with San Joaquin Regional Transit District and Manteca Transit for the annual food drive campaign. The Transit Agencies will be collaborating with Food 4 Less and Citadel Broadcasting, with a goal of “stuffing the bus” at each Food 4 Less site with non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys, chickens and hams. All food items collected at each site benefit food banks in their respective locations; collected items at the Lodi site will be delivered to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Lodi.
“Stuff the Bus” will be held at the Food 4 Less store located at 2430 W. Kettleman Lane (Lower Sacramento Road and Kettleman Lane) Lodi. On each day of the campaign, participants can bring their donations to the Lodi GrapeLine bus located at the Food 4 Less store.
Area food banks serve nutritious food to thousands of people daily and over 100,000 men, women, and children annually in San Joaquin County. Please help those in need in your community by participating in the “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive!
