Members of the City of Lodi police and public works departments will be among those staffing booths at the annual Lodi Grape Festival that starts today.
People attending the festival who visit the Public Works Department booth can receive information about the City's new, state-mandated water meter program, water conservation, stormwater management, street maintenance, the GrapeLine and other transit services, and solid waste removal.
The Police Department will be offering crime prevention tips at its booth and offer residents and opportunity to meet Lodi's law enforcement officers. Police Chief David Main will be available to meet with festival attendees throughout the afternoon and evening on Friday and Saturday.
The Lodi Grape Festival & National Wine Show Association is not affiliated with the City of Lodi, but a nonprofit organization contracted by San Joaquin County to produce the annual Lodi Grape Festival and Harvest Fair and Lodi Spring Wine Show, and manage the fairgrounds on a year-round basis. |
