Police Officer Dale Eubanks has been named the City of Lodi’s 2008 Employee of the Year on the heels of being named employee of the quarter.
Eubanks, a member of the police department for nearly 19 years, recently was promoted to corporal. His supervisor nominated him for the quarterly award for his role mentoring new officers, serving as the department’s spokesman to the media, and finding creative ways in working with other agencies to address problems such as substandard housing for Lodi residents.
Additionally, Eubanks’ in-depth knowledge of crime patterns in Lodi has been invaluable to other officers trying to solve cases, according to a supervisor.
“Dale is a multi-talented officer who has performed exceptionally well in so many areas,” Lodi Police Chief David Main said. “He is a tremendous resource. He’s a team player who is always looking for ways to improve the organization.”
Eubanks was named the City of Lodi’s employee of the quarter during police awards ceremonies in March, and City Manager Blair King announced Eubanks had been selected Employee of the Year at the Lodi City Employees Association’s annual employee recognition dinner on March 14. |
