Lodi is in the process of developing a new plan to guide its award of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
When completed, the plan will define housing and community development needs for low-income persons and families, as well as a variety of special needs populations, including homeless, elderly, and disabled persons. The needs assessment is based on Census data, other available data sources and, most importantly, input from the community and service providers.
The City is utilizing an online survey to help gather valuable input from the community and area service providers. Residents are encouraged to access the link to the on-line survey through the Community Development Department - Neighborhood Services Division's Web page at (SURVEY NOW CLOSED).
"I am very interested in getting the public's perspective on critical needs in the community," said Joseph Wood, manager of Lodi's Neighborhood Services Division. " I hope that through our Web page, we can both gather and distribute valuable information about our program."
The 2009/10 CDBG application is also available on that Web page, as well as an Information Sheet on the CDBG Program and the application process.
