Rides on Lodi's scheduled GrapeLine bus service Tuesday will be free of charge, and Dial-A-Ride open an hour later to accommodate Election Day voters.
Lodi's GrapeLine service operates from 6:15 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Dial-A-Ride will operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Election Day for those passengers who make reservations before 5 p.m. Monday by calling (209) 333-6806.
Transportation Manager Tiffani Fink said the free day of service and extended Dial-A-Ride hours serve two purposes.
"It's our way of helping people exercise their Constitutional right to vote and, maybe, it will introduce some people to our service who will see how easy it is to use," Fink said.
