A half-day workshop to help contractors and others learn how to meet increasingly stringent stormwater regulations is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 14, at Lodi's Hutchins Street Square.
The Got SWPPP? (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) workshop and vendor fair will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Crete Hall.
Topics include talks on Lodi's street drainage system, how to dispose of hazardous trash, how prevent pollutants from draining out of municipal yards, stormwater-friendly landscaping, and low-impact development.
A bonus session, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., will cover Lodi's new Stormwater development standards.
Registration fee is $40 before Aug. 11 and $45 at the door. Students and seniors may attend for $15. The fee includes lunch.
