Turner/Lower Sacramento intersection closing Oct. 9-12

The intersection of Turner Road and Lower Sacramento Road at the General Mills plant will be closed Oct. 9 through Oct. 12 for a street-widening project.

Lower Sacramento Road north of Turner Road will be widened to accommodate a bicycle lane, new sidewalk, curb and gutter on the east side. The project terminates at the city limits near the railroad spur.

Lower Sacramento Road will be closed between Turner Road and Eilers Lane, while Turner Road will close from Rutledge Drive to Parkview Avenue, to allow for unrelated work on Turner Road. Local businesses and residents will be allowed access to their properties.

Turner Road is scheduled to receive an asphalt overlay from Loma Drive to Lower Sacramento Road in the coming months, depending on weather conditions.
