Volunteer programs

Volunteers provide a valuable service and contribute greatly to the betterment of this community.  The Lodi Parks & Recreation Department offers many volunteer opportunities for its’ citizens to participate in.  Participating in these programs can be a meaningful and rewarding activity.

Lodi Lake Nature Area Docents

Join the Lodi Lake Nature Area Docents!

The docents lead school groups and others interested in the history, hydrologic features and the flora and fauna of the 58-acre Nature Area. Thousands of children tour the Nature Area each year.

Volunteer coaches

All volunteer coaches are required to be fingerprinted and processed through the Dept. of Justice.  All information obtained is kept in strict confidentiality.  To obtain information on fingerprinting contact the Parks & Recreation office at (209) 333-6742.

Community Service Projects

Are you an individual or a member of a club looking to perform a community service project? Lodi's parks offer many opportunities for projects of all sizes.

Usher program at Hutchins Street Square

Volunteer ushers at Hutchins Street Square provide a valuable service for events at the Charlene P. Lange Performing Arts Theatre, from ensuring attendees find their proper seats to assisting disabled visitors to providing directions in case of an emergency.
