The City of Lodi Parks and Recreation Department offers an After School Playground Program (“ASP Program”), for children currently enrolled in kindergarten through sixth grade at Lakewood, Larson, Reese, and Vinewood elementary schools that runs concurrent with the school calendar, including common planning, assessment collaboration days and school-wide minimum days and parent/teacher conferences.
The ASP Program is Monday through Friday and begins at 2 p.m. and ends promptly at 6 p.m. Staff to participant ratio is no less than 1:20. Minimum day hours are 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The ASP Program is closed during school district holidays.
Your child will be provided with a daily snack. No transportation is provided.
Children will be given an opportunity to do homework, participate in organized sports, games, and art activities.
The children will also view a variety of “G”, “PG”, and “PG-13” movies.
The program costs less than any comparable program in the region at $250 per month, per child, billed over a 10-month period. The fee represents a 180-day school year and not the number of classroom days in a given month. For a parent using the service daily for all four hours and minimum days, it is approximately $3.40 per hour per child for safe, experienced care.
There is a one-time registration fee of $50 per child.
