Every citizen feeling safe and secure is our vision for the City of Lodi.
The Lodi Police Department is part of a team effort from your City government to ensure Lodi is a safe and pleasant place to live. We are committed to the philosophy of community-oriented policing and providing outstanding customer service. Having your trust and confidence is paramount.
We value the diversity of our community and will continue to work hard in creating an environment where people are free to celebrate their culture and beliefs. All of us have a vested interest in our community and I urge you to do your part to keep our community safe. The Police Department can't do it alone, but we can accomplish great things if we work together.
We are open to your input and ideas as to how we as an organization can improve and better meet your needs. As Chief I want to make sure we tailor our service to meet those needs. We anticipate conducting customer service surveys in the near future. I hope you visit our Web site often as we will be making a number of changes and improvements over the coming months designed to provide you with latest information about crime and our programs that we hope will ultimately lead to improving quality of life issues for our community.
Thank you for stopping by.

Chief of Police
The men and women of the Lodi Police Department have worked hard to form many partnerships within our community. Lodi's Neighborhood Watch, National Night-Out program has been profiled as a national model for several years and has been rated in the top five in the nation for the past seven years. In 1997, Lodi was rated No. 1 for its National Night Out program. Lodi placed 3rd nationally in 2001 and seventh in 2007. In 2008, 139 Neighborhood Watch groups combined for 82 block parties.
We invite you to be our partner in making Lodi the safest place possible by:
- Participating in or forming a Neighborhood Watch program.
- Volunteering your time to one of many excellent community organizations
- Working with your school, church, or community group to make a difference
Being a caring, concerned citizen, and neighbor who strives for a positive and safe environment for all who live and visit Lodi.
