The Records Section of the Police Department is open to the public during the following days and hours:

Reports:      
In order to help us better serve you, the Records Section requests that you bring in the following items when requesting a copy of your report:
 
  • Report number (if available)

  • Names of parties involved

  • Location of  occurrence                  

  • Date of occurrence

 



 

Bike Licenses:      
Records will issue bike licenses after receiving the necessary information regarding the bicycle and the owner.  The fee for a bicycle license is $5.00.  After expiration, the renewal stickers are $1.00.

We have Bicycle Identification forms located in Records for you to fill out the information needed before licensing each bicycle.  Or, for your convenience, you may print this form from our site.

Fingerprinting:            

Live Scan and ink fingerprinting service is performed on an appointment only basis during the time periods listed below.  The cost for ink cards is $15.00 for up to 2 cards (fingerprint cards must be supplied by applicant). Live Scan fingerprint prices and other general fingerprinting/permit questions can be obtained by calling (209) 333-6865 during business hours.  The applicant must produce a "Request for Live Scan Service" form. They can obtain the Live Scan form from the requesting agency. We DO NOT provide Live Scan service forms. The Live Scan operator will enter information from the submission form and capture the fingerprint images. The captured information is immediately transmitted to the Dept. of Justice over a telephone line. 

***A photo ID is required for all persons wishing to be fingerprinted.

 To make an appointment call (209) 333-6865 during business hours and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.  Once an appointment is made, it is very important that we receive notice of a cancellation in order to serve another customer.  If you are late for a scheduled appointment you will be asked to reschedule to another time.



 

Towed/Stored Vehicle Release:
Unless a vehicle was towed as a result of being a recovered stolen vehicle, a fee of $100.00 is charged to obtain a release for it.  Cash payment (exact change is always appreciated) or personal checks are the only methods of payment accepted.  This is in addition to any towing and storage fees which will be owed to the company that towed the vehicle.
