SECTION 1: NATURE
OF ORDINANCE
Effective
July 20, 1989, this ordinance makes it unlawful for any person to smoke in any
enclosed space located within any City-owned building or facility, whether or
not such space is open to the public, unless appropriate signs are posted
designating such space to be a "smoking permitted" area. No smoking or chewing of tobacco products is
permitted in City vehicles.
SECTION 2: SMOKING
PERMITTED AREAS
The
following areas, as posted, have been designated as "smoking
permitted" areas:
- Police
Department interview rooms, booking area, and
holding cells.
- Fire
Department apparatus rooms (not near exercise equipment).
- Water/Wastewater Superintendent's
Office at MSC and
White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility garage/maintenance shop
area.
