SECTION 1: PURPOSE
To
provide a uniform policy and procedure for administration of the City of Lodi
Mandatory Fingerprinting Program in accordance with Education Code Section
10911.5, Public Resources Code Section 5164, Penal Code Section 11105.3, and
any other applicable state laws; to enable the City of Lodi, as an agency
receiving criminal history information, to comply with the requirements of the
State of California, Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Justice
Information Services; and to ensure the suitability of City employees with
access to confidential criminal history records.
SECTION 2: POLICY
It
is the policy of the City of
(including provisional and temporary), part-time,
volunteer, and contractual employees to be fingerprinted in compliance with
current laws and as part of the City’s obligation for due diligence in
screening people who work with children and act on behalf of the City of

law requires that a fingerprint submission be made prior to an individual’s
assignment to work with minors.
Following the City’s submission of fingerprints to the Department of
Justice a criminal history report is issued
