SECTION 1: PURPOSE
The
purpose of the Employee-Employer relations policy is to establish the terms,
conditions, and guidelines for labor relations between the City of Lodi and its
employees.
SECTION 2: REFERENCES
The
legal references mandating and providing the guidelines for labor relations are
as follows:
A. Meyers-Milias-Brown Act as
amended in 1968.
B. Resolution No. 3312: Implementing the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act By
Establishing Procedures For Administration Of Employer-Employee Relations
Between The City Of Lodi And Its Employee Organizations; And For Resolving
Matters Affecting Employment.
C. Resolution No. 3344: Adopting Rules and Regulations To Implement
Provisions of the Employer-Employee Relations Resolution.
SECTION 3: COLLECTIVE
BARGAINING UNITS
Designated
classifications shall be represented by the following bargaining units and
their respective representative organizations:
A. General Services
San
Joaquin Public Employees Association (SJPEA)
B. Maintenance & Operators:
San
Joaquin Public Employees Association (SJPEA)
C. Electric Utility:
International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)
Local 1245.
D. Police Officers:
Police
Officers Association of Lodi (POAL).
E. Police Dispatchers:
Self
representing (LPDA).
F. Fire:
United
Firefighters of Lodi (UFL).
