Computer Learning Center Classes
No classes are currently scheduled and we are actively recruiting volunteer instructors.

Currently Unscheduled Classes The following classes have been provided at the Library in the past, but are currently not scheduled.
- Surf's Up: Learn to navigate the internet using Internet Explorer and search the
internet using Yahoo! and Google. Requires competency with using the mouse
and keyboard, and basic Windows experience.
- Beginner's Email: You will learn how to set up your own personal email account (for free!) and how to send email, reply to email, and add even photos and other attachments.
- Digital Democracy: You will learn how to use the internet to find government information, track political issues, and contact government representatives.
- QuickBooks: This class includes Setting up
the Company & A/R Invoicing & A/P & Payroll & Financial Statements and lots of
other information. Participants are required to have basic computer knowledge
and to attend all 3 sessions.
- Word -
Mysteries of Mail Merge: This class is intended for
users who are already familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel,
and need help specifically with creating merged documents.
As a class, we will use sample lists to create mailing labels and form letters using Word 2003. Students must be proficient in Word and Excel.
- Word - Style for
Success: This intermediate course on Microsoft Word 2003 will cover one of Word's most powerful features: styles. Learn how to create and manipulate paragraph styles to maintain professional, consistent documents. Students must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and
using the mouse and keyboard.
- Excel - Fun with Formulas: Students in this class will learn the finer points of creating formulas in Excel, from basic arithmetic to financial and date equations. Students should already be familiar with basic Excel
concepts such as data entry and simple spreadsheets.
- Excel - Good Lookin' Spreadsheets: Learn how to make your spreadsheets, charts, and graphs stand out! Your proposals and budgets will be the talk of the office with this two-hour session on formatting. Students should already
know how to make spreadsheets and use formulas before taking this course.
- PowerPoint: Learn how to turn your ideas into a visual slideshow using PowerPoint. This two-hour course will quickly over the basics of creating slides, formatting and graphics, and organizing your thoughts into a coherent show. Students should
already be "computer proficient" and come to class with an idea for a presentation.
- Access: This beginner's course for Microsoft Access will teach students how to set up a simple database, build basic queries, create a form, and a report. Students must already be fairly familiar with Microsoft Excel before taking this
course.
