The Operations Division is one of the two Divisions within the Lodi Fire Department. As the Fire Chief plans the direction of the department, the Operations Division Chief implements these plans.
Under the Operations Chief are four Battalion Chiefs. One B.C. is the Training Officer while the other three oversee a suppression shift each.

As the incidents and the equipment needed in the Fire Service become more complex so has the Lodi Fire Department. As each “Line” personnel receive many hours of training through the year it has become impossible to be fully knowledgeable in all areas. To answer the challenge the Department has established special teams.

As the City of Lodi continues to grow, more Fire Stations are required to meet the standard response time. Currently Lodi has four Fire Stations and a fifth fire station is being planned

The Lodi Fire Department has a diverse pool of specialized equipment to meet the the ever changing needs. Among the equipment is a HazMat response vehicle, Mobile Operation Center and Public Education Trailer. Click here for more information on equipment.
