The Operations Division is one of the two Divisions within the Lodi Fire Department. As the Fire Chief plans the direction of the department, the Operations Division Chief implements these plans.

Under the Operations Division Chief are four Battalion Chiefs. One B.C. is the Fire Marshall, while the other three oversee a suppression shift.

As the incidents and the equipment needed in the Fire Service become more complex, so has the Lodi Fire Department. Each “Line” personnel receive many hours of training throughout the year; it has become impossible to be fully knowledgeable in all areas. To answer the challenge, the Department has established specialized teams.

As the City of Lodi continues to grow, more Fire Stations are required to meet the standard response time. Lodi currently has four Fire Stations located strategically throughout the City of Lodi to provide the most effective and efficient coverage to citizens.

The Lodi Fire Department has a diverse pool of specialized equipment to meet the the ever changing needs. Among the equipment is a HazMat response vehicle, Mobile Operation Center, and Public Education Trailer.
