Voter Registration - Who Can Vote

You may register to vote if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are a United States citizen

  • You are a resident of California

  • You are at least 18 years of age (or will be by the date of the next election)

  • You are not in prison or on parole for conviction of a felony

  • You have not been judged by a court to be mentally incompetent to register and vote


You will need to re-register to vote when

You change your name
You change your political party affiliation
 

How Can I Get a Form to Register to Vote?

  • Download a form at www.ss.ca.gov

  • Call 1-800-345-VOTE - 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, to have a voter registration form mailed to you

  • San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office

  • City Clerk's Office (209) 333-6702
       City Hall, 221 W. Pine Street, 2nd Floor

  • Lodi Public Library
       201 W. Locust Street

  • Forms are also available in post offices and the Department of Motor Vehicles
