What hours are the polls open?
7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
What if I have moved but failed to re-register to vote?
Go to the polling place located in your former precinct. You may be asked to vote a Provisional Ballot. If your former precinct was in a different jurisdiction, you may be eligible to vote only on matters that do not pertain specifically to that area. You will need to re-register to vote for the next election, and Affidavits of Registration may be obtained from the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office or the City Clerk's Office.
I failed to register to vote. Will I be able to vote in this election?
No, you will need to register to vote for the next election, and Affidavits of Registration may be obtained from the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office or the City Clerk's Office.
If I do not vote in this election, will I be able to vote in the next election or will I need to re-register?
You will still be eligible to vote in the next Election, and you will not need to re-register to vote, unless you move, change your name, or any other status of your registration.
What are the required qualifications to register to vote?
- You must be a citizen of the United States.
- You must be a resident of California.
- You must be 18 years of age or older as of the day of the next election to vote.
- You must not be in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony.
