Sierra Brucia

Sierra Brucia began his career with the Lodi Police Department in 1994 as an undercover narcotics officer assigned to a school buy program at a local high school. From there Captain Brucia held assignments in patrol, special investigations, and as a school resource officer. He was also a member of our SWAT team for 12 years and one of the department's Public Information Officers and Social Media coordinators

Sierra promoted to Corporal in 2007 where he was responsible for training new recruits. In 2011, Sierra was promoted to Sergeant assigned to patrol and later to our Special Investigations Unit. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2013 and oversaw the Technical Services Unit which is comprised of

Education, Awards & Memberships

In 2018 Sierra was promoted to Captain and took command of the Operations Division. Brucia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Saint Mary's College and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from American Military University. He is a graduate of the Los Angeles Police Department Leadership Program and the University of the Pacific's Eberhardt School of Business Management certificate program.

Brucia has received numerous awards and citations throughout his career, most specifically earning the department's Silver Star award in 2006. He is also a member of the Lodi Public Library Foundation's board of directors and an Adjunct Professor for Humphreys University.
