Dear Lodi residents,

I scheduled a series of meetings in early 2011 for the public to learn more about the City of Lodi's budget process, such as where the money comes from and how it's spent.

The last of the six meetings was held Tuesday, April 19. On the right side of this page, you can download the PowerPoint presentations (PDF format) or view videos of the meetings.

As part of the process of developing the Fiscal Year 2011/12 budget, which takes effect July 1, 2011, I asked members of the community to participate in the twice-monthly meetings so they could provide their views on the wide range of public services the City offers its more than 63,000 residents.

The meetings included detailed financial presentations, so participants -- or those who view the materials provided through the document library links on this page -- have a better understanding of how the City pays for services.
