A. CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL

The Special City Council meeting of October 29, 2002 was called to order by Mayor Pennino at 7:02 a.m.

Present: Council Members – Hitchcock, Howard, Land (left at 8:04 a.m.), Nakanishi, and Mayor Pennino

Absent: Council Members – None

Also Present: City Manager Flynn, Deputy City Attorney Schwabauer, and Deputy City Clerk Perrin

B. CLOSED SESSION

At 7:02 a.m., Mayor Pennino adjourned the Council meeting to a Closed Session to discuss the following matter:

B-1 Conference with Labor Negotiator, Human Resources Director Joanne Narloch, regarding International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Mid-Management employees pursuant to Government Code §54957.6

C. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION / DISCLOSURE OF ACTION

At 8:39 a.m., Mayor Pennino reconvened the City Council meeting, and Deputy City Attorney Schwabauer disclosed the following action.

In regard to Item B-1, Council gave direction to the labor negotiator with regard to how to proceed with labor negotiations.

There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at 8:39 a.m.
