A. CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL

The Special City Council meeting of September 17, 2002 was called to order by Mayor Pennino at 7:07 a.m.

Present: Council Members – Hitchcock, Land, Nakanishi, and Mayor Pennino

Absent: Council Members – Howard

Also Present: City Manager Flynn, City Attorney Hays, City Clerk Blackston, and Human Resources Director Narloch.

B. CLOSED SESSION

At 7:07 a.m., Mayor Pennino adjourned the meeting to a Closed Session to discuss the following matter:

B-1 Conference with Labor Negotiator, Human Resources Director Joanne Narloch, regarding Association of Lodi City Employees regarding General Services and Maintenance and Operators; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Lodi Police Dispatchers Association, Lodi Police Officers Association, United Firefighters of Lodi, Confidential Employees, Management and Mid-Management Employees pursuant to Government Code §54957.6

C. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION / DISCLOSURE OF ACTION

At 8:57 a.m., Mayor Pennino reconvened the City Council meeting and disclosed the following action.

In regard to item B-1, Council reviewed the draft Compensation Study Report and directed the consultant (Tony Gerczak, Personnel Concepts, Inc.) to prepare and submit to Council a final report within two weeks.

D. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS

None.

E. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at 8:57 a.m.
