Every person who owns a dog or cat over the age of four months is required by law to license their animal (LMC 6.12.010). Dog and cat owners who fail to comply with licensing requirements are subject to costly penalties. A license tag must be fastened to your pet's collar or harness and worn at all times.
To license your dog you must have proof of current rabies vaccinations. You can get a rabies vaccine from your local veterinarian or a vaccine clinic. City of Lodi pet licenses may be purchased at the Lodi Animal Shelter or at the City Finance Department, 300 W. Pine Street, Lodi, CA 95240.
