May 22-July 22 Teen Summer Reading Program

It’s Hot! It’s Fun! It’s Free!

This summer Lodi Public Library is taking part in a nationwide reading initiative to promote reading for teens during the summer months.

The main theme; Creature Feature invites readers to learn more about the world of real animals, or immerse themselves in the fantasy of imaginary ones.

The program kicks off May 22 and continues through July 22.  All LPL cardholders between 12 and 18 years of age are eligible to register. Delightful keepsakes are available to those who sign in and cool prizes will be given to those who finish reading at least two books of 100 pages or more.

The 2006 Teen Summer reading Program culminates with the “Day at the Movie”. Details will be announced later.

A big "thank you” to the Friends of the Lodi Public Library for their support of our teen programs.

Teen Program "Eat This" Thursday, April 13 at 6:00pm: Presented by health educators from Kaiser Permanente, this program will address myths about diet and weight loss programs, and focus on nutrition and life-style changes that improve health and body image. Healthy snacks and refreshments will be served as a courtesy of the Friends of Lodi Public Library. Everyone is invited to attend.
