Annually the Lodi Public Library Board of Trustees offers an opportunity to honor a friend or associate who contributes to the support of the Lodi Public Library through volunteering.
Nominate Someone for 2011
Nominations for the 2011 Bob Hildreth Library Volunteer of the Year Award are being sought. Established in 2001 by the trustees in memory of Friends president Bob Hildreth, the award is designed to honor an outstanding individual volunteer who has made a significant contribution in service to Lodi Public Library and its programs.
| Who | An eligible nominee must be at least 16 years old, must have volunteered during the previous calendar year and distinguished themselves by a unique or otherwise impressive record of service to the program. |
| When | Nominations are due February 16, 2011. |
| Nominators | Volunteers and Library staff member including Friends of Lodi Public Library, literacy tutors and students, Foundation Board members, Lodi Public Library trustees and library staff are encouraged to submit nominations. |
| What should you tell us |
Give us the name of the volunteer being nominated. In 1-2 pages list the tasks the nominee has performed as a volunteer, including the frequency of volunteer activity and the special nature of the service. Describe the distinctive nature of the contributions made by the nominee. Include the specific impact the nominee's service has made. Please include your name and contact information. |

Download and complete the Nomination Form. Send completed nominations to: Library Services Director, Nancy C. Martinez A selection committee (consisting of the library director, a library trustee and a former recipient of the award) will choose the award winner. The recipient is announced at the March Library Board of Trustees meeting. The plaque will be awarded at the first City of Lodi council meeting in April. |
